Male Tibetan Terrier Skull Retained Canines #3 | Veterinarian Collection Canada
This skull is male. This skull has some terrible teeth and retained canines (2 canines in the same space so all up 4 canines) the skull would have had 8 canine teeth but the bottom doubles were removed.
This skull has some degrading of bone around the gum line (Periodontal Disease) most likely due to the baby tooth (retained canines) not falling out and this can lead to gum inflammation. This skull is approximately 5-6 years old (bone years not the age of the animal).
Slight cracking to the back of the cranium. Nasal Turbinates were not ripped out during cleaning they have disintegrated over time there is evidence they were there.
13cm (L) 7cm(H)
Imported from: Canada
Initially cleaned by and method: Unknown
Purebred: Unknown but from a veterinarian who states they are Tibetan Terriers. It's written underneath. This is written in grey leaf pencil, I've kept it there for authenticity purposes but it can be removed with soap and water easily.
Purchased from a Canadian veterinarian and canine enthusiasts.
This is a Tibetan Terrier skull. A Tibetan Terrier is a small/medium breed of dog that resembles the appearance of a selected few terrier breeds, but it doesn't actually belong to the terrier group.
This dog was euthanised due to canine parvo (I have 3 other skulls of the same breed available from the same owner). These dogs were not vaccinated against the illness, unfortunately.
Initially the cleaning process is unknown, but the skulls are intact and in good condition. The skulls were donated to the veterinarian, as the dogs' skins were tanned and the bodies were left over.
These skulls are a couple of years old.
