Rabbit are a popular bone, but many people do discover they're quite a delicate bone. The rabbit is a quick, lightweight animal, their bones when clean are extremely light and can be small depending on the species. These are better for display, smaller jewellery projects, and minimal drilling. Rabbit bones aren't as tolerable to UV (sun) exposure as some others and do tend to dry, weather, and crack quicker. Due to a fair few rabbits being meat rabbits, you'll most likely receive cervical vertebrae, metatarsal and metacarpal, and pelvis bone. You're looking at the size most commonly ranging between 1 cm and 6 cm and 12 cm for a longer femur/tibia or the pelvis.
 
Keeping it as ethical as possible, bones from this species are selected at random, but you will receive bones from the species stated. Stock will depend on what we have cleaned and available or what animals we currently have access to during that time of year or season.
 
No animals are harmed for the purpose of collecting their bones. I live on a homestead with poultry and other animals as well as a lot of farming contacts and suppliers. Animals will and do die, but our utmost priority is the health, safety, and welfare of our livestock; the bones are just a byproduct of natural death, illness, or meat.
